The Little Suzi Range - Mixed Media Illustrations on Paper

Good Evening all!  Ive been experimenting with my Lyra Watercolour Crayons - again!!  Welcome the  Little Suzi Range Ive been working on.  They are all done on A4 size heavy weight paper, with my watercolours, ink and paper with certain elements raised for a 3d effect.  They are all unframed for ease and cost effectiveness of posting.  They will fit in a 6 x 8 inch window of a frame or alternatively in an A4 frame.  Hope you like them.  I think I will be making more with different themes down the track.

You can purchase them here in my Etsy Store.

Tea Time - A4 size watercolours, ink and paper....

Good morning all!
As  a little girl, I just loved the Enid Blytons 'Folk of the Faraway Tree' book series, and this is what has inspired my painting.  I could sit and read and re-read those books for hours!  All the magic, mystery and the fairy folk!  Im going to have a go at doing some woodland folk as well, and try for a series of paintings with them.  Ive listing this one in my Etsy store.  You can buy it here.  Delivery is free in Australia, and I deliver internationally also.

$35.00 plus any delivery charges.
I have used Lyra Watercolour crayons, ink and paper.  The little toadstools are raised and made with the spotty paper for a little 3d effect!

New Mixed Media Painting - Torquoise and Reds!!

These are may favourite colour combinations at the moments!  Vibrant red with turquoise and teal with splashes of metallic gold, all on a base of chocolate brown!!  This one Ive painted for my own house to add a bit of zing to the already browns/reds Ive got going on at the moment, of which looks great, but Im a bit bored with!  Hence the torquoise colour Im adding for a bit of ping!!  Hope you like it!  I do, and it looks great on the wall too!  The light hits the metallic bits in just the right places too.

New Abstract Palette Knife Painting!

Well Ive been a little busy finishing off this large painting for my own house.  I thought you all might to have a look!  I have used acrylic paint, metallic gold, impasto and a squirty bottle.  I think Ive got a new addiction with using the palette knife. Its very freeing and I love the rustic type of look that you can achieve with it.

Colours I used are teal, aqua, white, brown, black, vermillion, red and metallic gold.
Here is a close up.  You can see the drips in this picture as well as the texture.

Watercolours and mixed media....

Morning all - I have recently been back playing around with my beloved Lyra Watercolour Crayons, which I just love!!  I also recently bought some beautiful new 12 x 12 inch papers, which I have been itching to do something with!  Anyway, I made these whilst watching t.v. two nights in a row, (there was nothing on the telly to watch either really), so I played around, and made these two A4 size pretty mixed media on watercolour paper ready to be framed.  I used ink, paper, glitter glue, and my Lyra watercolour crayons.  I think I will put them in my Etsy store soon, when I get a chance.

This one above will suit a box frame to allow for the 3d elements of the butterflies.
This one above also has the 3d effect with the dragonflies.  This could still sit in a regular frame but would also look great in a box frame.
