Experimenting with pretty floral abstracts...

Good evening...
Its been awhile since Ive been able to sit down and have an afternoon of painting....just me, the canvas and paint...and all while listening to my current podcast.  My life has been extremely busy with starting a new job, the afternoon to-ing and fro-ing of the kids footy training twice a week for both of them, and just general business of life!  Ive been wanting to try some new things out...Ive started my workshops back up again and so am in the mode of working out some new ones.  Ive decided on this one of a tree, with bright and colourful dotty 'leaves' as one of them.  Its original one, was a base layer of text, painted over and then the tree with impasto paste added onto the tree and then dots added after.  The one for the workshop will be a bit simplified to fit it in the usual 3 hour timeslot however.
Here is the original....

Here is the demo one for the workshop...(the photo is not as vibrant as it was taken on my phone, but you get the idea!

I also started experimenting with another canvas...more dots (can't seem to get enough of them!)

Here it is....(again photo taken with my camera, so no where near as vibrant and bright as it is in the flesh!).

Then I thought, I would go a bit more floral and abstract which I just love to do....these two new ones I am still thinking of how to make sure they can be completed in the 3 hour time slot....I need to still work on that...These ones as a workshop idea, are still in the experimental stage, but I had such fun making them!  I need more colours in the Posca Paint range though!!

Below you can see the colour differences side by side....(crappy phone camera again, so these pics really don't pick up the beautiful, vibrant colours!).  Ive used acrylic paint, posca pens and black sharpies.
Hope you like them all so far....stay tuned for dates on any of these workshops!
