 This is an original mixed media on canvas which is made into a frame.  This would make a great gift for that special someone for Christmas.  I have used acrylic paints, ink and glitter glue.  The canvas has been sealed with a gloss varnish to protect it.  There is perspect to protect your photograph.

This is a close up view....There are cute sayings on it like "Create your own garden"  There is always something to be thankful for", "Plant your own garden, decorate your own soul', plus inspirational words like create, believe, dream, inspire.

Busy Bee....

Good evening everyone!  I haven't posted anything on here for awhile, as I have been busy over the last couple of weeks.  Lots of artwork going out of the studio (just fabulous!!) a couple of children's workshops and lots of creating going on!

This set of two was one of my favourites which a friend of mine has bought - I will get to catch up with her when she comes to pick it up at the end of the month.  I love the reds and pinks in this one.

I had  a couple of children's workshop that I ran in the school holidays, and the kids made a version of this little one.  Lots of glitter and pink and they loved it!!

This mixed media on canvas of houses went off to The Netherlands with the flower one below, this week.  Im hoping that they arrive safely soon, and their new owners loved them as much as I loved making them :)

This Red Poppy mixed media went out the door in my studio on Saturday for a birthday present for a person with the same name as the flower!!   Very appropriate gift I'de say!!

I've had a great time giving away stuff for all my loyal followers on Facebook.  Its a really great feeling to give something to someone who really appreciates the work that I do.

Bottle Top images....

Good evening all.  Haven't I just been having fun these holidays!!  I bought a new Mac a few short months ago and at the same time, the full version of the latest photoshop.  So while Ive been navigating around both of these items, I have managed to make these 2 different lots of bottle top images (my latest phase!).  I discovered bottle tops when programming for a children's workshop, and I think they are a great way to add more dimension and texture to some of my mixed media works.  The kids loved them.  I have ordered some nice flattened bottle tops from Etsy, but they havent arrived as yet, so I am using some of the ones we have from real beer bottles (plenty of those here!!).  Hope you like these two different sets.  They are very fiddly to make, but I enjoyed the process.  They are hand drawn and designed by me.  I think I will do some digital tags or labels as well down the track.  Its a bit addictive (but cleaner then my usual painting ventures!!).  You can find them here in my Etsy store for $3.00.

I just love drawing these as well - I use them in my watercolour and ink drawings too.
