New landscape paintings!

I've just realised that I have not posted on here for quite awhile!  Well to be fair, I have not done a lot of painting really in a long time, other than in my art journals. However, due to the lockdown there is plenty of time for creativity!!  Both of these paintings have been created using acrylic paints on A3 size mixed media paper.  I really enjoy adding in colour to these landscapes.  I think I will be painting a few more, and maybe when I get a chance to go to the shops (when lockdown finishes), I might be able to paint on actual canvas!

Finding my groove.....

It seems like so long since Ive really painted anything bigger than a 12 x 16 inch canvas or an A3 size piece on paper....time is just not on my side, and little by little, Im trying to find my way back to painting.  I look around my studio, and there is so many artworks that I have, that I just have not had the time to list in my Etsy store, or really even promote on my Facebook or Instagram page, or even do much with on Pinterest.  I just feel like Im chasing my own tail, but I so want to keep creating, and sometimes I am just so tired that I have lost the effort to do so.  The following artworks, I have really created out of trying to find and inspire myself to just 'play' around.  To try something different or just let my own mind wander.  I love to use colour and I have always loved to use flora and fauna as subjects in my artwork.  I love to make pretty patterns with stencils, mish mashing colours of ink and acrylic paints together....to find and use different techniques.  A lot is just playing around and seeing what comes to mind.  This technique is not necessarily a new idea, but for me its finding my groove when I feel so time poor and Im just tired, but ideas are racing in my head.  These are $75.00 each. You can purchase them by emailing me on juliemryder01@gmail.com or from my Etsy store which I will hopefully have them for sale shortly!
Find these artworks and more in my ETSY store.

Experimenting with pretty floral abstracts...

Good evening...
Its been awhile since Ive been able to sit down and have an afternoon of painting....just me, the canvas and paint...and all while listening to my current podcast.  My life has been extremely busy with starting a new job, the afternoon to-ing and fro-ing of the kids footy training twice a week for both of them, and just general business of life!  Ive been wanting to try some new things out...Ive started my workshops back up again and so am in the mode of working out some new ones.  Ive decided on this one of a tree, with bright and colourful dotty 'leaves' as one of them.  Its original one, was a base layer of text, painted over and then the tree with impasto paste added onto the tree and then dots added after.  The one for the workshop will be a bit simplified to fit it in the usual 3 hour timeslot however.
Here is the original....

Here is the demo one for the workshop...(the photo is not as vibrant as it was taken on my phone, but you get the idea!

I also started experimenting with another canvas...more dots (can't seem to get enough of them!)

Here it is....(again photo taken with my camera, so no where near as vibrant and bright as it is in the flesh!).

Then I thought, I would go a bit more floral and abstract which I just love to do....these two new ones I am still thinking of how to make sure they can be completed in the 3 hour time slot....I need to still work on that...These ones as a workshop idea, are still in the experimental stage, but I had such fun making them!  I need more colours in the Posca Paint range though!!

Below you can see the colour differences side by side....(crappy phone camera again, so these pics really don't pick up the beautiful, vibrant colours!).  Ive used acrylic paint, posca pens and black sharpies.
Hope you like them all so far....stay tuned for dates on any of these workshops!
